Friday night lights returned

Games started on time and ended on time, it was a great job by a lot of volunteers to make sure that everything went smoothly.

First game found the undefeated Dynasty vs the Money Crew. This game saw the Money Crew take a commanding early lead. Dynasty began to take it inside and get a few and 1's to cut the lead down to within 8. But the Money Crew captain and Human killer Muneeb Ahmed was not to be denied as he willed his team to victory by taking it to the hoop repeatedly.

The Humans played an undermanned Spartans. The Spartans and Humans played a messy first few minutes that found the Humans missing tons of inside shots and the Spartans barely getting any shots off. The few that they got off were three pointers that they hit to take an early 11-8 lead. After that though the lack of depth from the Spartans who had only dressed 7 was evident as they ran out of gas and the Humans ran all over them. The Humans came at the Spartans with a balanced attack that ultimately put the Spartans away. Player of the game Kamran Syed dished out 5 assists along with 7 points. The Spartans before the game made 2 more additions to their roster and should be more complete come next week. The Spartans were lead by captain Joe Varughese who had 11 points.

Triple Threat played the undermanned HitMen. The HitMen had the bulk of their team playing in a national tournament. This found the remaining HitMen playing an almost fully stocked Triple Threat, highlights of this game will be forthcoming. HitMen put up a valiant fight and those in attendance watching the game actually commented that it was probably the HitMen's best game of the season. But it wasn't enough as Triple Threat was lead by Humza a new addition to the Triple Threat roster who probably had one of the most dominating games in SABL history. Triple Threat looked like a totally different team than the one that played the Spartans. The inside presence of Hamza opened up the shooters for Triple Threat and they did what they do best hit the three.
