Just a reminder to all captains to please have a representative on hand for Saturday's meeting at 12noon. We will be going over the schedule and rules and regulations at that time.
Make sure that you have your payment and all completed rosters at that time. Captains if you are not able to make it to the meeting please make sure that you send a representative from your team.
Before the meeting all teams should have their teams created and the player profiles made on the web site.

Are you interested in playing for the South Asian Basketball League? With 12 teams and 132 total roster spaces, certain teams are looking for that certain someone to help them win their respective division and ultimately the SABL title.
Open tryouts at Herricks High School from 7:45pm - 9:30pm, show up, show us what you got and join a SABL team. Captains and current SABL players will be on the lookout for the next SABL star.
Mandatory Captains meeting on Saturday November 24th at 12noon at Ali Baba.
At this meeting that must be attended by all Captains OR CoCaptains. If the team Captain or CoCaptain is unable to make it you must send one team representative.
At this meeting you must have all of your waivers and your $1400 team fee to submit to the league.
At this meeting all teams will be getting jerseys.

The South Asian Basketball League proudly announces that a High School in Queens has decided to host the Second season of the SABL. The games will be played from the hours of 1pm to 6pm.
The cost per team will still remain the same as the earlier proposals. Paperwork and information will be sent shortly. Please make sure that you submit your rosters along with your jersey sizes to

The season will run from November 25th until April 6th.
In particular we would like to thank all of the loyal members of the SABL and SASL family who stepped in and helped out the league once the fiasco with Elmont materialized and really made this second season a reality. To all of those people you will not be forgotten. We look forward to having a great second season. Please make sure that you have your waivers filled out in order to be covered by league insurance. All players must have a completed waiver form submitted in order to play. We are expanding rosters to 11 people this year based on player requests and 10 teams each.

Elmont High School has backed out from hosting the 2007 - 2008 SABL season. We are making new arrangements in three new locations and we plan on securing one of them this week. The SABL will have a full season despite the delay. Please check back regularly for further updates. |

Just reminding everyone that we need to get all of the paperwork completed and the waivers submitted before we will allow your players to play. Any player that has not completed the paperwork and waiver forms can not play in the league.
