Analysis
As we get closer to the playoffs (only one week left!), teams are trying to fine tune and get ready. 24/7 was finally able to do what no other team has done yet... beat Styl. That's probably good enough to get them to the top of the power rankings, but their match-up against Strong Island this week will really show where both teams stand.
Lions keep sputtering while Adrenaline is starting to heat up against the lower-seeded teams. They seem to be looking forward to their upcoming match-up against Styl, so let's see if they're up to the challenge. Has any team had more heartbreaks than the Eagles this seasons? Triple Threat was able to hold on at the buzzer to get their 2nd win of the season. Not bad. The schedule was updated recently due to conflicts with the West, so be sure to check it out before Sunday. The only first round match-up that is confirmed so far is Adrenaline (5) vs. Lions (4). Everything else is still up in the air.
Standings:
1. Styl (9-1)
2. 24/7 (8-2)
3. Strong Island (7-3)
4. Lions (4-6)
-----------------------
5. Adrenaline (6-4)
6. Desert Eagles (3-7)
7. Triple Threat (2-8)
8. Force (1-9)

**Update** Unfortunately the new proposal was prematurely announced and it will be difficult to execute without unfairly prejudicing some teams. We're going to stick with the original playoff plan, which is going to be a doozy regardless. May the best teams win!

Analysis
Styl continues to steamroll the East, like Strictly Biz is doing to the West. It's no surprise that both teams are finding success because they are two of the most unselfish and fundamentally sound teams in the league. It looks like 24/7 might be able to hold on to that 2nd seed for the playoffs. Don't forget that forfeits hurt forfeiting teams' security deposits. Lions and Strong Island have got to right their ships in a hurry or they may get knocked out early in the playoffs.
Adrenaline easily took care of a short-handed Triple Threat team with good teamwork and hustle. The Eagles finally came up on the winning side of a close game for a change against the struggling Force. These lower-seeded teams can't be looking forward to their inevitable 1st round match-ups!
Standings:
1. Styl (9-0)
2. 24/7 (7-2)
3. Strong Island (6-3)
4. Lions (4-5)
-----------------------
5. Adrenaline (5-4)
6. Desert Eagles (3-6)
7. Triple Threat (1-8)
8. Force (1-8)

Analysis:
Wow... what a difference a week makes in the standings! Strong Island had a brutal week and tumbled all the way down from the top spot to the 4th Seed and their schedule doesn't get much easier with MKA up next. The HUMANS and Hit-men also find themselves at the bottom of the playoff pack with SWAT leapfrogging them into 6th. You never want to say "never" but the 'Ballers and the Panthers' collective playoff chances have all but vanished with losses this past weekend. Even the Jaguars who are on a mini win streak need a strong finish to even have a chance of getting in.
Strictly Biz has proven to be nearly unbeatable and one of the favorites going into the final stretch. The only team to beat them, MKA, stands one seed below. The Titans have snapped out of their early season funk and now look to be contenders as well. Rukus and SWAT have been inconsistent all season long, but both teams have started to heat up as of late. Only 3 regular season games left...!
Standings:
1. Strictly Biz (8-1)
2. MKA-NY (7-2)
3. Titans (6-3)
4. Strong Island (6-3)
5. Rukus (5-3)
6. SWAT (5-4)
7. HUMANS (5-4)
8. Hit-Men (4-4)
------------------------
9. Jaguars (3-6)
10. Basketballers (2-7)
11. Panthers (2-7)
12. Ravens (0-9)

Analysis & Schedule:
The game of the week turned out to be the match-up between Jaguars and 'Ballers which pitted two teams with little room for error (to keep their slim playoff hopes alive!) against each other. 'Ballers put forth playoff-intensity defense and signature teamwork and led practically the entire way. Jaguars tied it in regulation with a buzzer-beating 3-pointer and then won it in unthinkable fashion in OT at the buzzer on a near-full court heave by Arif that banked it! This is more or less how it went down.
MKA continues to take care of business and move up in the rankings with a dominant win over the struggling Panthers. Titans also impressing with big wins against key rivals. When asked how they're doing it, Tom Job said, "Chicks 'dig the long ball." SWAT created some much-needed breathing room for themselves in that 8th spot with a win over the scrappy, but winless, Ravens. The remaining two games will be replayed in the coming weeks because of gym unavailability.
The West has 4 more weeks of regular season games remaining. The next three games will be put up soon and after that, the final week will be 1vs6, 2vs5, 3vs4 (no top 6 team can drop out of the top 6 at that point) and 7vs12, 8vs11, 9vs10 (the best two remaining records will be the 7th and 8th seeds). Since that makes a total of 12 regular season games, the magic number for playoff eligibility for the West is "6". Also, we can't take any more "special" scheduling requests because it has become impossible to do what's best for the league and for each and every team. Teams' preferences are already duly noted. Once the schedules are up, please find a way to field a team. There's no crying in basketball, unless you're the 'Ballers this past Sunday, in which case it's OK to cry a little.
Standings:
1. Strong Island (6-1)
1. Strictly Biz (6-1)
3. MKA-NY (6-2)
4. Titans (5-3)
5. HUMANS (5-3)
6. Hit-Men (4-3)
6. Rukus (4-3)
8. SWAT (4-4)
------------------------
9. Basketballers (2-6)
9. Panthers (2-6)
9. Jaguars (2-6)
12. Ravens (0-8)

Analysis & Schedule:
Another week, another Lions overtime game, but this time, they failed to prevail against 24/7. Team 24/7 living up to its name by taking care of business, even on Sundays. Despite starting the game shorthanded and in a big hole, they have proven to be one of the better come-from-behind teams around. Adrenaline verse Eagles was a grind-it-out (i.e. ugly) game with way more missed than made shots. Eagles had a chance to win at the buzzer, but their 3-point attempt fell short.
Triple Threat managed to move into the win column with a blowout of a short-handed Force team. Force made runs, but they couldn't get stops on the other end. The game of the week failed to disappoint as Styl once again knocked off the mighty Strong Island squad in a game that went to the wire. Styl may just have created enough breathing room to hold on to that crucial #1 seed for the playoffs. Three East regular season games remain before the start of the playoffs... get ready! The minimum # of games required for playoff eligibility in the East is now "5" (3 for Triple Threat).
Standings:
1. Styl (8-0)
2. Strong Island (6-2)
3. 24/7 (6-2)
4. Lions (4-4)
-----------------------
5. Adrenaline (4-4)
6. Desert Eagles (2-6)
7. Triple Threat (1-7)
8. Force (1-7)
