Preview - Strong Island

The Strong Island was born with the merger of some of the HitMen and some of the Dream Team players. Captain Neil Ramani took the remnants of the Dream Team and merged them with Simran Lamba of the HitMen. The result is Strong Island. Strong Island had the best showing of any team in the SABL in the Islamic Games. The team is led by brothers Neil and Shaun Ramani. The Ramani brothers will be providing and inside and outside touch and excellent defense. Lamba and Karan will be the big bangers on the inside. Eke will be providing the veteran leadership and the outside shooting. For good measure Francisco the sharpshooter from last year will pair up with ex Titans Raman Kohli to fill out this team. This team was constructed for one thing and one thing only a championship. Anything else is unacceptable. Panthers - Team Preview

The Panthers are a new entry in the world of the SABL. They are relatively unknown. One thing is for certain though, they have been playing together for years and the collective chemistry that they have should be enough to surprise some of these other teams that have hastily been put together. Big man Davinder Singh will be patrolling the paint, while captain Mandeep will be dropping long range shots on the unsuspecting SABL opponents. Ravens - Team Preview

Once upon a time in a galaxy far far away the Force was with us. That Force has been replaced by the Ravens. The team name isn't the only thing that has changed. Captain Koshy has promised a completely revamped team that is out for one thing the SABL title. Gone are the days of Force being over looked, new logo, new look, new atitude. Koshy and Tom are back along with Alfie, Justus, and Sijin grabbing every rebound. This could very well be the year that the Ravens make everyone forget about the past and begin to look at a very Raven future. Titans - Team Preview

You may or may not Remember the Titans. Coming off their SABL Finals appearance last season, the Titans enter season 3 with a completely new look. No longer with their 1-2 punch of Stanley and Raman, Captains Pawan and Jason have revamped the Titans roster: Out-goes the interior presence of Juby and Stanley and in-comes 6'2" former-Spartan Rex Varughese and 6'6" Darius John. Out-goes Raman Kholi and in-comes Tommy Job, as lethal of a shooter as they come. Tomy Joseph will now get do to what he does best, run the PG position and control the team. He looks to guide and lead the Titans one step further than last year. This time, winning the championship. Desert Eagles - Team Preview

The Desert eagles have joined our league this year. The SABL welcomes Adam Elfiky formerly of SWAT who is captaining his own team. Adam brings with him Usman Cheema from SASL. How this team competes week in and week out remains to be seen as most of these players aren't SABL household names. With opening day just a few days away the league is about to find out real quick.
